VMWare has a new "player" application which allows you to configure VMs to run on computers without an installed copy of VMWare ...

The player allows configuration of many control features of how the VM can be used.  It is perfect for software evaluations and sharing VMs.  It allows the running of VMs created on Workstation, GSX Server, ESX Server or Symantec LiveState (and Ghost 9/10) images (new feature in VMWare 5.5).
